DIVERSITY DAY 2022 EVENT SPONSORSHIP

Dear Friends:

This summer, July 10 marks the return of Diversity Day on the Morristown Green.  Diversity Day is a community event sponsored by the Diversity Coalition of Morris County that brings together friends and members of the Greater Morris County Area in order to celebrate the gifts of our neighbors. The day consists of a morning interfaith worship service open to the public followed by a FREE festival of multicultural music, ethnic food, and universal FUN.

 

Diversity Day was held on the Green in 2018 and 2019.  Now, after two years as a virtual event, all are welcome to participate in person as we celebrate our theme, “One Community, Together Again.”

A part of the celebration has been the sharing of the foods of diverse cultures.  In the past, we requested donations from restaurants and community groups.  This year, with many restaurants struggling to stay afloat, we hesitate to ask for donations.  Instead, we hope to find corporate sponsors who can support Diversity Day while also supporting our Morris County restaurants.  A diverse workforce makes our businesses stronger, and a diverse community makes us all stronger.  Will you help to support this effort for your business, our local restaurants, and the community of Morris County?

 

Donations will be used to purchase trays of finger foods or bite-sized noshes for our guests to share.  If you have a particular restaurant or culture you would like to support, please let us know.  Restaurants will be chosen by the food committee, and we hope to order enough for 300-400 guests.  Sponsors’ names will be displayed on the food tables in gratitude for the support.  If your company would like to be a part of Diversity Day, please return your donation with the enclosed form in the envelope provided.  Please direct questions to Carol at forcbg@outlook.com.  We look forward to sharing Diversity Day with you this year.
