WHAT IS THE DIVERSITY COALITION
OF MORRIS COUNTY?

We are a non-political coalition of faith-based community organizations and individuals who live, work, and serve in the greater Morris County area.

We share the common belief that all people should be treated with dignity, respect, and understanding.

WHAT IS DIVERSITY DAY?

The Diversity Coalition of Morris County began with Diversity Day on the Morristown Green on Sunday July 8, 2018. An Interfaith service of worship at 11am preceded the festival which began at noon and extended through the afternoon, with music and entertainment, and local organizations representing the various religious, ethnic, and cultural groups that make up the community.

Diversity Day has continued each year thereafter on the second Sunday in July, either on the Green or virtually. The Diversity Coalition during the pandemic continued to offer free multi-cultural events throughout the year, including cooking classes and book readings for children and families. In 2021, Diversity Day featured an online Interfaith Service, as well.
